Birchbank Campsite in the Lake District
Holiday cottage & campsite in rural Cumbria

Campsite in the Lake District near Lake Coniston

Camping for Tents, Caravans and Motorhomes

Our campsite is located on a small grassy site next to the farm. There is a gate leading onto the open fell, and it is mostly flat with a stream running along one side where the children love to play. There are 24 pitches, eight of which have electric hook ups, and a hardstanding area.

Caravans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome, and we are only a short detour from the Cumbria Way if you enjoy walking.

Dogs must be kept under strict control on the camping site and on a lead when out walking because of the sheep. TV reception is only available with a satellite dish. No open fires are allowed; barbecues or fire pits in a container are permitted but must be extinguished by 10pm. No noise after 10pm, please do not disturb other campers.

Please arrive after 12 noon unless arrangements have been made with Mrs Nicholson to arrive earlier. Please vacate your pitch by 12 noon unless arrangements are made with Mrs Nicholson to stay later.
